We separate our raw lumber into all oak stacks and mixed hardwood stacks. Due to the aging and weathering of the reclaimed board’s surfaces, it’s often hard to distinguish all the different species of antique wood. However, we are able to separate out the distinguished American oak boards. For this reason, we can supply either all oak orders or orders of mixed hardwoods. Mixed-species boards are the most common form of reclaimed lumber. Orders of mixed hardwoods may include hickory, ash, sycamore, pine, red and white oak, beechwood, poplar, chestnut, and maple. SPECIES:
We typically do not sort our weathered lumber products by species, because the focus is on the appearance and character of the material rather than the individual wood species.
Therefore, we are generally unable to provide weathered lumber in one specific species. Mixed-species lumber may contain any combination of species, including material consisting entirely of a single species.
